Nouns

In this world, nouns are the largest part of speech. There are different kinds of nouns.

  1. Common Noun 
    • Places, people, and things that are not the name of the places, people, nor things.
    • Example: Animal, Singer, Car, etc.
  2. Proper Noun
    • Name of the common noun. Usually starts with capital letter.
    • Example: Brazil, George Washington, etc.
  3. Collective Noun
    • Names a group of people or things.
    • Example: Group of X, Herd of Y, Set of Z, etc.
  4. Gerunds
    • Nouns which are identical to present participle.
    • Example: We enjoy swimming.
  5. Attributive Noun
    • Noun that modify another nouns.
    • Example : business meeting, cooking school.
  6. Count Noun

    • Noun that can be used after a or an or after a number.
    • Example : A book, a lot of shoe.
  7. Mass Noun
    • Something that can't be counted.
    • Example: Information, Japanese.
